Earlier this month a few of us went along to the Manawatu Classic Motorcycle Clubs monthly meeting at the Vintage Car clubrooms on Kevin Grove Road. Much of the business was around the up and coming rally at Camp Rangi Woods at the end of the month. After a cuppa and chat we all took to the road for a wander around the countryside. Some of us with more modern bikes headed up towards Apiti whilst the rest took to some of the back roads around Pohangina. We all met up again at the Ashhurst Inn for refreshments and something to eat. A great way to spend part of a sunday with some excellent company and a chance to see and hear the sights and sounds of some of our older motorcycling heritage. If you want more, come along to the rally begining 30th October through to 1st November. See you there!
For those people who enjoy motorcycles from the past, and in particular the 60s, 70s and 80s. This saw the rise and demise of the large 2 strokes that many of us enjoyed in our youth. This blog celebrates this time in particular but also motorcycling in general .
